Introduction

I'm a software engineer who has ringing in my ears from too much clubbing and playing in bands. There seems to be some promising research into the use of "Acoustic Coordinated Reset Modulation" as a treatment for this condition, known as "chronic tonal tinnitus".  See my  research  page. The scientists behind the research are commercialising the technique through a product called  Desyncra .  The NHS does not find enough strong evidence to incorporate such treatment in its clinical guidelines. The purpose of this blog is to collect together related information about this topic and then create an open-source software implementation of the treatment methodology. Watch this space (subscribe using the button above to get updates...) Oh, I just found someone already did something like this...  http://www.generalfuzz.net/acrn/ looks great, guess this might be a short-lived blog Perhaps there's an opportunity to make a great pitch finder still...
